A Finer Thing He Does Now

Eye on Boise has bad newsfor Democrats:

2nd District Congressman Mike Simpson has sent 1st District GOP nominee Bill Sali a congratulatory note and a $2,000 contribution – though Simpson endorsed Sheila Sorensen over Sali in the primary, and has clashed with Sali in the past including a famous threat during a dispute in the Legislature to throw Sali out Simpson’s speaker’s office window.

Asked why Simpson sent the contribution and note, his press secretary, Nikki Watts, said, “I can tell you that Congressman Simpson is committed to keeping the House in the majority.” She added that though Simpson had expressed his preference in the six-way GOP congressional primary, “Ultimately, Congressman Simpson knew that it was up to the voters of the 1st CD to decide.”

In others, Congressman Simpson is a loyal Republican! I think most Republicans will follow. Simpson needed to do this because it’d been a huge distraction because its one of the liberals favorite attack methods to try and paint a divided picture of the Republican Party because he’d endorsed Sorensen. So, other than Shelia, I think we’re going to be ready to roll this November.
