A Misunderstanding
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheOn a liberal Idaho blog, comments were made in response to a recent post I made about Brandi Swindell, in which I said that it was a comfort Brandi Swindell out there because I couldn’t compete with the liberals who were funded by the big foundations.
Now, for some reason Julie Fanselow thought I was talking about her and Idaho liberals. She assures us that she’s “I proudly keep myself and my 15-year independent writing career afloat (if barely, sometimes)”. Indeed, its so tight over at Red State Rebels, she couldn’t afford a link back to the post referenced on the blog (her dreadful host must charge her for each one.) That’s okay, Julie, I’ll give you a link. I share the wealth.
I understand, its hard trying to keep things going, which is why Julie mentions she has a book. I should mention that I also have a book which you can buy. But I’m going to stop talking about it. My book that is. I wouldn’t want you all to think I’m shamelessly plugging my book, though you can buy it
Now, I was actually thinking more of Brandi’s full-time activism nationally. Idahowise, I don’t worry about competeing with Red State Rebels or 43rd State Blues. The latter actually does more damage to the Democratic Party than I could inflict in a lifetime. I just highlight the sillyness and reasonable Idahoans get to see the real power behind the Democratic Party.
I have to say the work that Brandi does as a national and international pro-life and pro-family advocate is what I appreciate the most. She travels the nation and the world speaking the truth in some ways that are creative. They’re not things I could do, but she’s going to be one of those people that changes the world.
Now on my blog, over at WhereIStand, and in my book, I deal with a lot of national issues. Probably, the vast majority of my posts have little directly to do with Idaho politics. Its there were I feel somewhat overwhelmed and glad that as a conservative, I’ve got someone who represents my values.
I hope to raise my profile and start to earn more from my writing. I get paid a little bit for blogging. Google Ads rock! I should get my first check in early 2009 provided they don’t change the terms of service. I hope to build other revenue sources. Which reminds me. Did I tell you about my book?
