Adamson for Governor
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheMy last (probable) blog post before leaving for Cancun will focus on the Idaho Governor’s race.
This primary election is a gimme. It really does not matter whom I endorse, because Butch Otter will be the nominee of the Republican Party and I’ll fully support him in the Fall.
However, I want to take the opportunity to endorse someone who thinks outside the box. Our state suffers from a massive case of apathy. Teacher’s unions rule the roost in our Capitol. We continue with taxes that are inordinately high for the most Republican State in the nation.
The one candidate, who if he actually won would shake things up would be Dan Adamson and he’ll have my vote on May 23rd. He proposes to outsource our criminal population to other countries while moving federal inmates into Idaho. He’s strongly pro-life. He has a plan to grow our state’s economy through free enterprise zones. He supports the end of no fault divorce laws and the sanctity of marriage.
Over the past 20 years, he’s chosen to live as a family man, growing his business and taking care of his own life. I admire and respect his putting himself on the line to take a stand. Having run a campaign, I know its not easy.
He also has the best political website ever and I’d encourage people to visit Dan’s site. Even if he loses, its got the makings of our own private Idaho My Space.
That’s not to say I agree with Dan on everything, I don’t. He’s bought into the idea that we need to spend more money on education. However, I respect, appreciate, and value honest disagreement, and a dedication to doing the right thing. Even though, I think he has no chance of pulling this out, I believe Dan Adamson would be a fine governor and he’s earned my vote.
