Ain’t No Time for Bleedin’ Midweek Open Trackbacks

Posted by Adam Graham in : Open Trackbacks

The stakes are huge, particularly in the House leadership elections. If we have muddled or uncertain leadership, the consequence for 2008 and beyond could be horrendous. Our party has a history of not being able to tell the difference between loyalty and stupidity. A key example is the 7 TERMS that Bob Michal was elected to serve as House Minority leader.

At this point, we need leadership that sees the need for change and will be revolutionary in their style, confront the minority when their wrong and inspires conservatives nationwide. We need Mike Pence as Minority Leader, John Shadegg as Whip, and Marsha Blackburn as the Chair of the GOP of Conference.

This is our best shot to set ourselves on a path that will make Election 2008 a happier affair than this last one. Call your Congressman and have other people call their Congressmen. I was talking to my brother and mother this weekend and urged them to call Denny Rehberg (R-Mt.) Now’s the time to get all your conservative friends dialing.

Heck, I’d go as far as to leave messages for other people’s Congressmen. Most of us have got free Cell phone minutes in the evening. Use them and lobby Congress. Let them know how bad the base wants this ship righted.

The Conservative blogosphere has shown itself capable of moving leadership. It’s time to get going. Yes, I know people are still reeling from the election and that some people don’t even want to mess with it right now, but to quote Jesse Ventura, “We ain’t got time for bleeding.”

Lick your wounds after November 17th, ladies and gentlemen. Now, is the time to fight for the future of our party. Get on the phone and call! Click here for more information on the changes we need in Washington.

To reach the Capitol Switchboard, call 202-224-3121. To reach the office of Mike Simpson call 202-225-5531 and to contact Bill Sali (he doesn’t have a Congressional office yet), e-mail his campaign. Also, if you want to call other people’s congressmen, then go here and click on their webpages. Most have fairly easy to find contact information. Now is the time.

Now, onto the Party. First, the rules:

1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.
2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger
3) Deadline is Wednesday at 11:00 PM MDT. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.

For your convenience here’s today’s here’s today’s link and the trackback:

The Murtha Meltdown

The Mirror – an excerpt
So I’ve had a request to post an excerpt of my NaNoWriMo novel in progress. For those not aware, NaNoWriMo is a 30 day challenge to write a 50,000 word novel. Here’s the beginning for what it’s worth. As Anne Lamott would say, here we…

The Florida Masochist:

No coincidence at all

First because insurance companies donate heavily to both parties, secondly because companies like Liberty Mutual can blackmail the state by threatening to stop doing business in Florida entirely.

In other words, Florida residents will continue to …
