Some more moderate Republicans come forward with an earmarks reform plan. Public pressure is working.
Also, Rudy Giuliani provided a police guard to his mistress while he was mayor, and the man who’s supposed to get credit for everything that went right in New York City isn’t very convincing with his denials of any knowledge.
Hugo Chavez continues to hemorage supporters in his bid to become dictator for life.
A new study suggests that global warming can be solved without huge sacrifices from Americans. I would further suggest that it can be solved without government as all.

Chavez is one hell of a character. Oftentimes I would say that as a term of endearment, but in this case it most certainly is not. With any luck he’ll be out of office sooner than later.
