Don’t Bet Against America’s Military

Posted by Adam Graham in : Barack Obama

I’ve not had a whole lost to say about the Obama and the Pirates situation. Though let me confess, I did find this piece hilarious. (Hat Tip: Hugh Hewitt.)

Today, in what marked a  wonderful Easter for the Phillips family, Captain Phillips was rescued as the professionals of the U.S Navy Seals who killed three pirates and captured a fourth.

The days of bellyaching by many conservatives over each twist and turn in this story presents a teachable moment for conservative bloggers. Never bet against our Soldiers and Sailors, particularly are special forces. They will do a stand-up job no matter who is President provided they’re allowed to do their jobs.

As tempting as it is to try and turn each day of a crisis into a problem for the President, it’s simply not the case. This was 4-day ordeal that will be forgotten in 3 months by everyone other than the principals. It was not worth the frantic virtual ink that was spilled.

This isn’t to say there weren’t some disturbing trends such as the Obama’s Administration seeming willingness to negotiate contrary to sound U.S. policy. But this got lost in attempts to micro-Monday Morning Quarterback every aspect of the operation. Conservatives would be better letting these things play out rather than many bloggers getting so critical of the Administration without having any clue what was going on.
