Campaign Brief Hits

Posted by Adam Graham in : Presidential Race 2008

According to Jim Geraghty, the decision to cancel Mike Huckabee’s attack ad on Mitt Romney may have occurred 59 minutes earlier than the Huckabee campaign indicated. File this under “marginally important stuff.” If true, this indicated that Mike Huckbee’s people had more time to take down the “Enough is Enough” sign and cancel the press conference, or it could mean that the person at the station wrote down the wrong time. I’m not going to get all excited about this either way.

While Ed Morrissey notes a fundamental difference between Romney and Huckabee in their critiques of the President’s policy. The fact that on several occassions, Romney has tried to sell himself as the pro-Bush on the War Candidate and then criticizes him for mismanging it is going to look hypocritical and phony, which is the last thing Romney needs right now.
