- What happens when you get real School Choice? Milwaukee provides the answer. A lot of schools start up, some end up folding, and others become successful and draw parents and teachers. If it sounds familiar, its called “The Free Market.” We used to believe in it. (Hat Tip: Education Watch.)
- Autism as a job asset? A fascinating story on a company that’s harnassing disability. A reminder that we all have a purpose, and can contribute. (Hat Tip: Townhall.)
- How bad are things in the Democratic Party? President Obama called House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mi.) to complain about Conyers voicing public criticism of Obama. Conyers response? Blab to the Hill Newspaper which makes the President look petty and whiny. Conyers reminds us that wisdom doesn’t always come with age.
- NPR’s Mona Liasson is being pressured by NPR Management to stop appearing on Fox News. Did Anita Dunn move to NPR without telling me? Also, remember that all of us taxpayers for NPR including ones that might prefer Fox over MSNBC.
- Finally, congratulations Baltimorians, your city became the first in the nation to go after crisis pregnancy centers. Baltimore’s convicted thief mayor (who stole $600 in gift cards for the poor) pushed through a piece of legislation requiring pregnancy centers to post a sign saying they don’t provide abortions. The City Council voted down an Amendment that would have required abortion clinics to post a sign saying they don’t offer abortion alternatives. Mayor Dixon may have ripped off the poor, but she knows how to gift wrap a present to Planned Parenthood.
