Detente

MGR has made an offer of peace in the blog war.

 I’m generally open to such proposals, particularly around Christmastime. Sometimes, these things don’t work out, but it’s at least worth a shot.

I appreciate the graciousness of the offer, and I believe there’s good intent behind it. We’ve said all that needs to be said on this issue, and more than that. Certainly, if I were a more perfect man, I’d have said some things better than I did. I’m still a work in progress as are we all. Regardless, the opinions are at this point as MGR said, pretty well set, and there’s no need to rehash them.

So, let’s do the best we can and move on.
