Whose Price Is It Anyway?

Posted by Adam Graham in : General

In a lighter post topic, Drew Carey was named the new host of the Price is Right replacing Bob Barker. Carey, in some ways seems a very odd choice for the job. His television career and reputation has centered around his willingness to go above and beyond into the realm of tawdry humor.

It’s quite a departure from Barker who was television grand old man. Of course, Barker frequently tried to shatter his image with the fight scene in Happy Gilmore. Then there have been Barker’s affairs and lawsuits about it.

Carey on the other hand hasn’t been sued by anyone. Perhaps, Carey’s move means CBS is seeking someone who is real about who they are, not pretending to be someone else with a bunch of skeletons in their closet.
