Electoral Map Shifts McCain’s Way
Posted by Adam Graham in : Presidential Race 2008I’ve not given up following the electoral college. I havent’ posted any updates because not much has changed until today. The latest Rasmussen Poll shows McCain up 1 point. Quinnipiac had showed him up 2. The Democratic PPP poll shows Obama up 4. Still, the three latest polls from the big pollsters in the Centennial show McCain leading in 2, Obama leading in 1 and all within 5 points. That means there’s no clear leader in Colorado. So Colorado is moving from Leans Obama to Toss Up.
Minnesota is another fascinating case. I’ve not had that state in play during this campaign. Obama has enjoyed double digit leads, but the latest Rasmussen, Quinnipiac, and Survey USA polls show this race in play with Obama leads of 1-4%. This marks a key shift, particularly as in previous Rasmussen and Quinnipiace polls, Obama enjoyed a double digit lead. I don’t think this state goes for McCain in the Fall, but still I think it’s in play and like with Virginia and North Carolina for McCain (Minnesota last voted Republican in 1972), Obama’s gonna have to work it. The state is off our “Safe” states list and is going in play.
