Ending the War on Terror WW2 Style
Posted by Adam Graham in : Iraq WarA blogger makes a point regarding the popular liberal talking point that the War on Terror has gone on longer than World War II:
A clever little comparison, except for one thing — he forgets how we ended that war. We nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Why? Because the conventional wisdom at the time was that if we tried to go in and fight a conventional war on Japanese soil, the war would drag on and on — you know, like the current war is doing now. Frankly, I’m not ready to nuke Mecca and Medina just yet.
Indeed.
