Faithful Man Goes Home
Posted by Adam Graham in : ChristianityA former pastor passed away recently. He achieved some amazing things, the big one was longevity. Sixty-two years as Senior pastor of his church and seventy-two years of marriage. Wow!
“It didn’t make any difference to him whether you were a member of his church or not. He still included you among his friends and among the children of God,” said Meridian city historian Lila F. Hill.
Born in rural Arkansas, Roberts founded Meridian Gospel Tabernacle in 1940. Parishioners and family members knew him as a deeply prayerful man who read his Bible for hours every day.
