So, I get up to day and I find Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Hillary Clinton (D-NY) agreeing with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Ok.), Michelle Malkin, and Captains’ Quarters. The issue: the sale of American ports to Dubai Ports, a company owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates, whose citizens were key players in 9-11.

I find myself agreeing with them. While a read of Michelle’s makes the point that most of our port management is already handled by foreigners due to a lot of issues with unions, there has to be a line drawn. Is it okay for a private UK company to run our port operations? If they do a good job, sure. Is it okay for a dictatorial Muslim regime to run our port operations. Absolutely not.

Talk of this is a Faux pa, that has to be fixed. Actually doing it would be utterly insane. While, its possible that Dubai may fairly manage our ports, I’m not willing to take a chance. The Administration’s wrong and I’m going to call my Senators on this and I’d urge you to do the same.
