From North Dakota, Where Men are Petty
Posted by Adam Graham in : GeneralFrom UPI this story of grown men behaving like 6 year olds:
A man who tried to get even by paying a traffic ticket with $120 in pennies got upstaged by a North Dakota judge who made him stay until they were counted…
Judge John Pearson told the newspaper he thought Zukowski’s anger was misdirected.
“If the person is mad at the cop, why take it out on court administration?” Pearson asked. “They’re punishing the wrong people.”
Wow! This is totally amazing that we let people like this be judges. How did the transcript go.
Defendant: I brought my payment for my speedy ticket in pennies. Ha ha ha!
Judge: You meany! You’re staying here until they’re all counted.
Defendant: But I don’t want to! I’ll tell my dad!
Judge: Well my dad can beat up your dad!
Defendant: Can not!
Judge: Can to!
Thus the state of the North Dakota legal system.
