Future White Collar Criminal Seeks Help

From a posting on Craig’s List (thankfully since deleted) looking for “Free Lance(sic) Writer”:

I am a college student in need of some help. I need a “business” paper written over white collar crime in America. The paper needs to be 3 – 4 pages in length. The paper should give at least two examples of white collar crime and how this affects the economy. Also the paper should talk about how “big” white collar crime is and how America tries to regulate white collar crime. The paper needs to be double spaced with at least 2 references. I am willing to pay $10 a page.

This posting is filled with irony. First of all, if I were to take a guess, I would think that White Collar criminals are the type of people who manage to start getting away with small things and progressively commit more egregious acts of dishonesty.  I could see a white collar criminal beginning his career by-I don’t know-turning in a college paper that someone else wrote and claiming that he wrote it.

Let me go ahead and offer this guy some free advice, I won’t even charge $10 a page for it. If you’re too lazy or unskilled to manage a four page, double spaced essay, please drop out of college now while you can get a portion of your tuition money back and stop wasting your time, the time of your professors and fellow students.

Also, to any professor at Boise State, George Fox, Northwest Nazarene, College of Western Idaho, Apollo College, University of Phoenix, Treasure Valley Community College, College of Idaho, or University of Idaho-Boise who has an assignment like the one described above, be on the look out for a phony among the papers turned in.
