Gotta Love that Idaho Liberal Double Standard

43rd State Blues has word on a voter guide put out by a series of Conservative Organizations in Idaho. To quote the Lord of the Rings, “The One Guide to Rule Them All!!!!”

Binky Boy writes:

Bryan’s new voter guide is pretty decent, but it illustrates the danger of religious and right-wingnuttia upon Idaho. Look at the questions, look at the answers and see if you can find a single unscrewed candidate. Why should we vote for any of these arsholes except for the ones like Jerry Brady and Kathy Skippen that refused to answer Bryan’s wingnutty questions?

Yeah, questions like “Should we breach the lower Snake River Dam” are just so nutty and out of place in Idaho.

Meanwhile, on another leftist blog, Butch Otter is being lambasted for skipping out on a debate with Dan Adamson. She quotes the Brady Campaign:

The Brady campaign swiftly issued a news release blasting Butch for bailing. “Idaho deserves a real debate on the issues facing our great state,” Brady said. “Idaho middle-class families need a champion, not a chicken.”

Otter, first of all is skipping the debate because he has nothing to gain by not going. Yes, there are votes in the House, but if this were a 10-point race, Otter would just have to miss them.

But my ire has to go to Brady and the Idaho liberals. Jerry, which is it? Is someone who refuses to engage in debate and answers questions a chicken? If so, care to explain the lack of a questionaire getting returned to the Gem State Voter Guide?

As a candidate for office, I returned every questionaire sent me, even for organizations I knew would not endorse me. As someone standing for public office, I understood that my duty was not just to the people I agreed with, but the whole people, and every citizen deserved a response to their question. It wasn’t my fault if they didn’t like it.
