Gotta Walk Weekend Open Trackbacks
Posted by Adam Graham in : Open TrackbacksHere’s the deal. I live very close to my job (less than a mile) but have not walked to work all year for various reasons. Today, I’m going to do it. However to do so, I’ll keep it short.
To paraphrase that great superhero, Underdog, “When work is waiting, I am not slow, its hip, hip, and away I go.”
Now, with that welcome to today’s Open Trackback party:
1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.
2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger
3) Deadline is Sunday at 11:00 PM MDT. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.
For your convenience here’s today’s link and the trackback:

Difference between Muslims and non-Muslims
Last July 3, 2006 in Maine, a group of Muslim men praying at a Lewiston mosque were thrown for a jolt when somebody threw a severed pig’s head into the mosque.
Elections in the Congo
A free election is a good first step. Governing while at the same time accepting peaceful opposition in and out of government is the next step. The Congo has seen too much blood shed for too long. Here’s hoping the parties there see the wisdom to co-…
Best of July…
Rather than just a weekly recap, especially because I was light on real posts and heavy on meme’s this week, here are the best posts of the month! Can you believe it’s almost August already? Lil’ Duck turns two in September and I don&…
Cheerful, friendly, sweet and mostly innocent – my favorite things about Lil’ Duck!
During our errands today, I was thinking about our favorite things (the subject of the Blogging Chicks carnival tomorrow, actually). You see, Lil’ Duck’s favorites are always changing, but I’d always assumed that mine would stay the s…
One lunatic in Seattle?
This is probably the story of one lone nutcase. The US has had a history of these as does every area of the world. Does that make a society all bad?
Read this post of mine before answering that question
Why the Muslim shot the Jews in Seattle
That the man is a Muslim and a US citizen is no surprise. I have reported previously that Muslims cannot be good Americans. The man might even be an American College-educated Muslim like Mohammed Taheri-azar, the 2005 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate who tri…

Fighting and Marital Bliss
I haven’t written anything about marital bliss in a while. Not that there isn’t anything to write. I live with my Beloved Curmudgeon who is a veritable potpourri of writing material. Good writing material, of course [he does read this].
The Coming GOP Battle Is a Good Thing
I still believe that the GOP is going to sink or swim on the illegal immigration and border security issue –even before the Iraq War issue.
Threes
3 things I don’t understand:
a. Why there are more than 842 different kinds of cell phone chargers
b. 17,000 pages of the Federal Tax Code
c. Thermos bottles – you put in hot, it stays hot – you put in cold, it stays cold – how do it know?
Yak of the Week: WHO Needs to Get Out More (Or Maybe Not)
This week we decided to permit our new Superhero, Obviousman, to bestow the Yak of the Week Award.  Why? The reason should be…obvious.
Obviousman proudly presents the Yak of the Week Award for Groundbreaking Research to the World Healt…
Comprehensive Immigration Reform – A Hoax
I have listened very patently to our people in both parties, who hunger for something they enthusiastically call, “comprehensive immigration reform.†They insist that their various calls for amnesty, guest worker programs, the pardoning of I.D. th…
Sex Kitten Christine Dolce, Madison Avenue and MyS
OK you think Abortion, Illegal Immigration, Islamic Terror, Gay-Marriage, blah-blah-blah are important issues that need to be discussed and debated. However, we are all preaching to the same choirs and mutually stroking ourselves.

Congratulations on your decision to walk to work! Most car trips are less than 2 miles, which – coupled with the heat wave – explains the yellow haze hanging over Boise this week.
Congrats on the mention in the Statesman, too. I think Kos has a bit better track record than you indicate, but it must feel good to get your name in print.

Julie, thanks for the notice. I try to walk, but with blogging I end up staying on the computer until 8:40 something and work starts at nine, so my only option is to drive to get there on time.
