Grassroots Republicans Sue to Close Primaries

A group led by former Senate Majority Leader Rod Beck is challenging Idaho’s open primary in court. It will be interesting to see what the State of Idaho and Secretary Ysura have to say in response. Regardless, it’s a critical moment for our state and for the idea of a serious primary.

    Sounds to me like the Neocons who took over the Republican Party 20 years ago are trying to make sure that only the Neocon republicans get to vote in the primary, since only Neocons remained loyal to the party as it turned from semi-libertarian to a second democratic party. If this suceeds, it will result in most of the previously disenfranchised republican voters from being able to vote for their candidate. And we have the nerve to accuse other countries of having a corrupt election system.
