Green Eye Shade Weekend Open Trackbacks
Posted by Adam Graham in : Open TrackbacksI’ve decided to (as a feature of the Open Trackbacks) provide information on a blog I read and why I read it. (If I can’t think of a reason why I read it, then I think it’s time to stop.)
This week, it’s Green Eyeshade, a blog about government spending by a Congressman who is also an accountant. I know it doesn’t sound exciting, but it provides information I consider insightful and important so that I can understand a little bit of what’s going on in Washington. It’s good to have someone not talking out of his hat on this point. So my reccomended Blog read for this week is Green Eye Shade.
On to the party. First, the rules:
1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.
2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger.
3) Deadline is Sunday at 11:00 PM MT. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.
For your convenience here’s today’s link. If you’re a registered user, the, trackback should appear below. If not, here’s the process:
Enter the characters as shown in the box and something like this should appear
This is a Trackback URL that’s good one time only so that we can seperate humans from spammer bots.
Below are other great parties:
Na On Min
I’m a fan of the South Korean golfers but knew next to nothing about Min going into this week.(That ultimate source on ROK Golfers, Seoul Sisters.com, even has only sketchy info on Min.) She has the lead but has plenty of competition to fight off. Wh…
The Knucklehead of the Day award
Today’s winner is Gema S. Jimenez.
Holy Mackerel
It must be a slow news weekend.
Vatican City – US President George W Bush drew gasps at the Vatican on Saturday by referring to Pope Benedict XVI as “sir” instead of the expected “His Holiness”, pool reporters said.
The Knucklehead of the Day award
Today’s winner is Adam Potts.
I Can’t Help Feeling Sorry for Paris Hilton
A lot of people are happy that Paris Hilton is back in jail. There is, of course, the fact that people thought her early release was unfair, and this is a valid point, but to a certain extent, I can…
Nothing About Paris Hilton Here
Nothing about Paris Hilton here…
Nothing to see here…
Now move along to another post…
Rawhide: Amnesty Bill Fails to Win Cloture Vote
What the Dims and Felipe Calderon’s Lapdog are feeling just a bit like today after their immigration bill (AKA: “Give Away the Storeâ€) failed to win a cloture vote: rawhide. Nanny. Nanny. Boo. Boo.

Ironically, Adam (irony, cos you are the initiator of Linkfest Haven) your neat trackback anti-spam tool prevents folks from using Linkfest Haven to trackback to you, cos there’s no way to list your trackback URI there.
*heh*
I like the neat anti-spam trackback tool, apart from that.

It was a tough call, but I was getting an insane about Trackback spam. It’d gotten to the point all the forms ceased working because my host thought we were spammers because of the sheer volume of stuff.

Like the new feature, Adam. Always on the lookout for new blogs to read, and there’s no better way to find one than a referral from a trusted blogger. Keep it up!
(As an aside…I keep trying to trackback to your OTPs using the Linkfest Haven site, but your new trackback filter seems to be blocking the trackback address, because LFH keeps giving me a “no link found” error message rather than a trackback address. Not sure why.)

Yeah, in order to get the Trackback URL, you have to come to the post and click the capecha. Either that or be logged in.
