You Heard It There First…

The Idaho leftosphere had a big theory about the reason for the Statesman layoffs:

The post makes a good point; on Sunday there were 4 op-eds in the Statesman, all from people right of the political spectrum. And to top it off, two of them were from the Idaho Freedom Foundation, and a third was someone who stands to benefit from the work of the IFF. I hate to see any newspaper have to make cuts, but let’s face it, they’ve made a bed and now they are going to be laying in it.

Yep, you read it there first. The Idaho Statesman, which endorsed John Kerry and Barack Obama in one of the reddest states in the nation is facing collapse because it ran four conservative op-eds, even though as Kevin Richert explained, they ran three columns, not four, and two of those were responses to other op-eds.

However, I guess we all now know the Statesman’s going down because it’s a right wing rag. Right…
