Hey, Nobody’s Died, Yet….
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheCall me unconmforted by ITD’s explanation for not installing a crosswalk on Front Street near the Ada County Courthouse as reported by Commissioner Sharon Ullman. No one had died at the intersection, so they’re not going to put a crosswalk in. Commissioner Ullman writes, “Apparently, someone has to be killed before the State of Idaho allocates resources to fix obvious life-safety problems.”
When problems are easily predictable, fix them, don’t make excuses. Pretty simple.
In other notes:
- Id. Rep Ken Roberts (R-8) announces for Congress. Roberts isn’t perfect, but has an 85% career conservative rating and I’d lean towards him over establishment darling Vaughn Ward, but it’s still early.
- Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune demands to know why we add more strange charter schools. Because students demand them is the short answer. I have to wonder. Have the libs even paid any attention to the statements coming down from the Obama Administration on charter schools, where state with caps have been threatened with losing stimulus dollars. The Obama Administration recognizes that charter schools can be a valuable part of education reform. The Idaho left doesn’t and puts itself far to the left of the Obama Administration on this issue.
