Hillary Clinton: The Most Unqualified Secretary of State in the Modern Era

Posted by Adam Graham in : Politics

Hillary Clinton will be Barack Obama’s Secretary of State. She’s more knowledgable and experienced than Obama. Unfotunately, on foreign affairs, in a dangerous age, she presents America with it’s least qualified Secretary of State in the modern era. Only with Obama in the White House does Mrs. Clinton look good by comparison.

Don’t believe me? Let’s go ahead and compare the last five Secretaries of State to Mrs. Clinton:

Lawrence Eagleburger (appointed in 1992): Various positions in every Presidential Administration from Nixon to Bush including Ambassador to Yugoslavia, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, and Deputy Secretary of State.

Warren Christopher: Deputy Secretary of State under Carter.

Madeline Albright: Served on the National Security Council during the Carter years and was Ambassador to the U.N.

Colin Powell: National Security Adviser to Ronald Reagan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and military man with 35 Years Experience.

Condi Rice: Special Assistant to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, member of the National Council under Bush 1, National Security Adviser under Bush 2.

Hillary Clinton: Former First Lady and 8 year-Senator from New York State.

To quote Seseme Street, “One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just doesn’t belong.”

I’d point out that both Albright and Rice spent many of their years not in diplomatic service studying, writing, consulting, and teaching about foreign policy. Hillary Clinton spent much of her time before being first lady serving on the board of Wal-Mart and performing countless hours of work for the Rose Law Firm.

She has only more experience than Obama in running for the presidency; she has done so for over 30 years and, whew, she still failed.
