I Am Blessed

My husband spends eight, nine hours at work everyday only to come home most nights to work until bedtime on his writing, asking at some point for me to bring his dinner to the computer. Somedays, it seems like I don’t see him except to say good morning and good night.

I am Blessed.

Adam is willing to put that type of commitment in, sacrifice time with his wife (me!) so he can someday be a full time writer and do what I’m doing now and get paid for it so I won’t have to get a drudge 9-5. Because he is a writer, eventually, he will take the time to read my writing, he will take time to work with me on common projects, and he doesn’t complain about my own writing. We may not always have all the time I would like to have with him, but God has given me what most writers do not have: A spouse that understands the vision that drives me to write.

And why every now and again, I’ll shove a turkey roast in the oven and tell him he’s on his own for dinner. Who but another writer would understand that?
