Now We Know Who Falls For Those Nigerian Scams

The Democrats are criticizing the Governor for not embracing the entirety of the Stimulus Bill and taking every penny out of it that the state can get. Apparently, we ought to just say, “Wow, thanks Mr. Obama, I love free money. Woo hoo!” Now, we get an idea of who it is that falls for Nigerian Scams and Canadian lottery schemes.

Read the fine print and look for the strings attached. There are programs here where the Feds fund something for 1-3 years and then it will be Idaho taxpayers to begin picking up the tab for expanded government. The Governor is being prudent right now.  One example is the $98 million Bobby Jindal rejected in Louisiana for extending unemployment insurance.

I think Idaho should be wary to guard its sovereignty and not allow the President to transform our state from the federal level. Idaho should not be like Esau and sell its birthright for the gruel of quick federal cash.
