If You Don’t Need the Credit
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheAn Amendment to the increased grocery tax credit is designed to meet the concerns of Governor Otter in terms of providing relief to the poor as Senator Hill wrote in Saturday’s Statesman:
Citizens who can afford to do without the $40 per family member can choose to donate their rebates to struggling families.
And because the donations will also be tax deductible, the government is actually paying a portion of the contributions through tax savings to the donor.
What a delightful turnaround: You force the government to help those in need instead of it forcing you!
Hopefully, Governor will trust the good people of Idaho and sign this important legislation, rather than insisting on having it “his way.”
