I’m a Stereotype
Posted by Adam Graham in : GeneralI took this test and surprise what the results were. The questions were a bit loaded, but that’s okay. Its all for fun.
| The Center You scored 100% individualism, 24% fatalism, 68% hierarchy, and 16% egalitarianism! |
| You adhere to both the Individualist and Hierarchist cultures. This means you are the Establishment, or “The Man.” You run the system, or at least agree with how it’s run. Any inequalities that arise are justified, because some people are just better or more deserving than others. |

You’re SURPRISED? In case you’re wondering:
You scored 44% individualism, 16% fatalism, 40% hierarchy, and 84% egalitarianism!
You strongly adhere to the Egalitarian culture. Egalitarianism is characterized by a passion for equality and a strong sense of solidarity with other people. Unfortunately, this is often accompanied by a tendency to see people not in your group as traitors or evil. Egalitarians believe that nature is fragile, like a ball balanced on a hill.
So I guess I’m a stereotype, too.

Adam….apparently I, too, am at the center…”You scored 84% individualism, 4% fatalism, 68% hierarchy, and 28% egalitarianism!” I am entertained by the fact that we are equally hierarchical – though I am obviously much more egalitarian than you. This must be due to the fact that it is exceedingly difficult to tell yaks apart in the first place.

I think the surprise was sarcasm.
Here’s mine:
The Center
You scored 76% individualism, 16% fatalism, 68% hierarchy, and 24% egalitarianism!
You adhere to both the Individualist and Hierarchist cultures. This means you are the Establishment, or “The Man.” You run the system, or at least agree with how it’s run. Any inequalities that arise are justified, because some people are just better or more deserving than others.
How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 75% on individualism
You scored higher than 9% on fatalism
You scored higher than 93% on hierarchy
You scored higher than 1% on egalitarianism
–There’s something wrong with a test when a C is weighted the same as a 100%

Which means you all answered some of the questions wrong . The proper answers would have resulted in this
Individualism
You scored 100% individualism, 16% fatalism, 28% hierarchy, and 0% egalitarianism!
You strongly adhere to the culture of Individualism. Individualists believe that everyone should be given a fair chance, but people should be allowed to succeed or fail based on their merit. Competition — in the marketplace, in elections, or elsewhere — is your forte. Individualists think nature is resilient, like a ball at the bottom of a cup, and therefore competitors can be given free rein to exploit it.

Adam got a 100% on individulism, too, but some would argue there are no right answers, blah, blah, blah.

So, Michael, we’ve got the wrong personalities?
Nice to see you posting again.
Comment by Andrea Graham [Member]
It could be argued as a worldview test, not a personality test, but of course everyone thinks their own worldview is the right one or they wouldn’t view the world that way. To say your own is the right does tend to come off as arrogant, that’s one of the world’s complaints about Christians, is it not?
Comment by Michael [Visitor]
Here is why the test is flawed. It is based on the notion that you answer a certain way based on your personality. Many people would answer based on what they have been taught to believe as opposed to their inherent personality type
Remember. It’s not arrogance if the feeling of superiority is justified.
Comment by Andrea Graham [Member]
Oh, the test is flawed (more like hopelessly biased!) and it’s also not a personality test, I think I said that. As far as Christians are concerned, superiority isn’t justified. Sinners saved by grace and all that jazz.

That’s just another reason I left. If we are all equal in the eyes of God, I seriously doubt his judgment.
Comment by Andrea Graham [Member]
I don’t think it’s really a matter of equal. It’s like a father with his children. Each is different with their own strengths and weaknesses, but their father loves them all just the same.
Comment by Michael [Visitor]
Sure, but deep down inside he knows there is a difference.
