I’m Okay

I made it home okay tonight, though I think I may have chosen the worst possible night for shopping according to the Statesman:

A strong windstorm in Boise and beyond has sparked at least 10 fires, downed powerlines and trees.

One grass fire threatened structures near New Hope Road in Star. Another fire has been reported in the Purple Sage area near Middleton.

Winds are being measured at 55 MPH at the Boise Airport. Driving home, I could smell the smoke in the air, so these are some pretty bad fires. I was nervous that it was MY House on fire. Thankfully it wasn’t.

Really, this is the last thing we need in the middle of the wildfire season. Say a prayer for those out on the road and our brave firefighters. Lord knows, they need it.
