It Didn’t Work Before, Will It Work Now?

CNN’s reporting that John Edwards is on Barack Obama’s 20-name VP list. Edwards didn’t fare very well as Veep in 2004, could 2008 be different? Sure. For one thing, his home state of North Carolina could become a swing state and neighboring Virginia already is. If Obama’s biggest concern is blue collar whites, Edwards would help that. With a vastly different national situation and a different candidate, Obama/Edwards could succeed where Kerry/Edwards failed.
