It’s Good to Be In Idaho…But It Could Be Better

Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, The

Despite, my numerous problems with the fiscal state of the state (including our poor business climate), overall it’s good to be in Idaho. According to a recent report, this is especially true if you live around the Metro Area:

The Idaho Department of Labor says total personal income climbed in Idaho’s biggest cities last year.

Income was up 9.9 percent in the five-county metro area including Boise, 9.8 percent in Coeur d’Alene and 9.1 percent in the two-county Idaho Falls region.

Statewide, income was up 7.9 percent. The Department of Labor says that was the eighth highest increase in the nation. The national average was an increase of 6.6 percent.

This is part of why our state’s revenue’s growing. The people are doing a great job despite our lousy business climate. What could we do with genuine tax reform? It staggers the imagination.
