John McCain: Putting Mexico First?

What do we make of John McCain’s Hispanic Outreach director having a record as a proponent of open borders who served in Vicente Fox’s cabinet with the goal of insuring Mexican immigrants don’t “go native” and maintain their first loyalty to Mexico. At the very least, you know a man by the company he keeps.

John McCain’s re-interpretation of his Ted Kennedyesque opposition to the Bush tax cuts.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton insists a Hillary-McCain campaign would be a love-fest.  Which is probably true, which is why even John McCain’s mother knows he’s not getting support from the GOP base, because McCain’s got a record only a mother could love.

However, at the same time, Mitt Romney’s not great either. The price of his signature accomplishment (i.e. health care reform) as Governor is soaring out of control and will likely necessitate a tax incrase.
