Kos We Can

I’m not a big fan of Kos, but the latest attack on Markos is lame and unfair. Little Green Footballs is up in arms because a KOS diarist posted a disgusting article stating that the military creates serial killers, but KOS pulled it within hours. LGF writes:

But the Kidz are on edge about their credibility, so it was deleted within hours, without a word of explanation. Just doesn’t look right to be dissing the military when Kos is trying so hard to be the voice of the Democratic Party.

And Sister Toldjah wrote:

Of course, DK tried to take it down before it got noticed, but thankfully a few bloggers got some screen caps of it.

So, now bloggers can read minds? Could he have pulled it because he disagreed with and knew it was irresponsible? Could be, but this is a situation where Kos can’t win. If he doesn’t delete it, he rightly should be called on the carpet for allowing a post that is utterly derogatory to our military on his site. If he does pull it, he has many Conservative bloggers lining up to get on the pyschic hotline.

There are simple facts in this life. There are a number of folks on the left who are fringe nuts. They have KOS diaries. What’s KOS supposed to do? Sit by each of their computers and make sure they don’t post something idiotic? The only thing he can do is the same thing everybody who owns a big site with diaries can do, trust people to be responsible and then pull anything that crosses the line ASAP.

There are many things KOS should be attacked for, and as this was cross-posted on a left blog, it’d be perfectly legitimate to attack that blog as an example of what some leftists think, but the attacks on KOS are just plain unfair.
