Larry, You Don’t Need a Tax Plan

Idaho’s unusual situation that was created by Lt. Governor Jim Risch running for re-election, President Bush appointing Governor Kempthorne to the Interior Department, and Butch Otter having raised so much money that Risch couldn’t reconsider a Gubenatorial run if he wanted to got weirder.

As Governor Risch is calling for the legislature to provide property tax relief, Democratic Candidate for Lieutenant Governor Larry LaRocco has come out with a tax plan. Its not an awful one, but here’s the thing. You don’t need a tax plan.

If Larry LaRocco is elected Lieutenant Governor of Idaho, he’ll be able to do next to nothing about taxes unless he becomes Governor. Apparently, this whole not having won an election in 14 years thing makes you a little rusty.
