Who Loves the Trolley Folly?
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheThe Trolley Folly came up before the COMPASS board and Ada County Commissioner Sharon Ullman opposed it, calling the trolley, “The $60 million Street Car to nowhere.” Unfortunately, common sense didn’t prevail but Commissioner Ullman has provided a list of those who supported this boondoggle in her blog post:
Kathy Alder – Canyon County Commissioner
David Bieter – Boise Mayor
Keith Bird – Meridian City Councilor
Vern Bisterfeldt – Boise City Councilor
Elaine Clegg – Boise City Councilor
Tom Dale – Nampa Mayor
Charlie Rountree, sitting in for Tammy DeWeerd – Meridian Mayor
John Evans – Garden City Mayor
Kelli Fairless – Valley Regional Transit Executive Director
David Ferdinand – Canyon County Commissioner
Phil Kushlan – Capital City Development Corporation Executive Director
Garrett Nancolas – Caldwell Mayor
Mike Vuittonet – Meridian School District Trustee
Remember these folks, come election time. I’m particularly disappointed in Commissioner Ferdinand and Mayor Dale. On the other side of the ledger, these officials stood for common sense:
Sherry Huber – Ada County Highway District Commissioner
Carol McKee – Ada County Highway District Commissioner
Bryce Millar – Nampa Highway District #1 Commissioner
Nathan Mitchell – Star Mayor
Steve Rule – Canyon County Commissioner
Jerome Scroggins – Canyon County Highway District #4 Commissioner
Martin Thorne – Nampa City Councilor
Fred Tilman – Ada County Commissioner
Sharon Ullman – Ada County Commissioner

Did anyone happen to notice that although BOISE RESIDENTS will be responsible for the long-term debt (which is still against the Idaho Constituion) we had 8 out of the 13 that voted for the FOLLEY..NOT BOISE RESIDENTS!!! I might be called a grandstander but that would have met strong opposition had I been sitting on the Board as a City Council member!
