McCain Wins Anti-War Vote, Gets Handled With Kid Gloves
Posted by Adam Graham in : Presidential Race 2008Jim Geraghty points out that John McCain won a majority of anti-war votes in New Hampshire. This shows McCain won the liberals he won last time and that the war in Iraq is becoming less important.
In less than 100 words, John Hawkins endorses Mike Huckabee if Fred is eliminated.
Fred also disclaims the notion he’d be McCain’s Veep or that he’s going to drop out and endorse McCain. His kid glove treatment of John McCain in tonight’s debate will give rise to more of this talk. But, it should be noted, no one on that stage was willing to call McCain out on his deplorable Senate record. While certain deference can and should be shown to a distinguished veteran, you’re not going to beat McCain playing patty cake and refusing to talk about his record.
Speaking of that Hugh Hewitt has an interesting interview with Rick Santorum, where Santorum lays out the McCain record. It’s time for candidates to do it too.
