My First Time Being Plagarized
Posted by Adam Graham in : BloggingToday, was a momentus milestone in my career as a writer. It was the first time I recall being plagarized.
A 22 year old guy from Malaysia wanted to impress that special girl with a great review of the Chronicles of Narnia, so not being capable of writing something he was confident in, he stole mine, changed two lines and used it without attribution.
I went ahead and reported it to his blog provider’s abuse department. So hopefully will come down soon. I guess I’m going places when Asian Males steal my stuff to impress their girlfriends.

That is disgusting Adam, really disgusting. Last week I went trough my own hell. I was accused of ‘stealing a banner’ that was given me as a gift. Long story short, it was offered me at BlogExplosion Forums because they saw I did so much work on my temp and needed to rid it of the crappy cooltext one I had. She mentioned that her hubby had a graphics co, and that it was easy for her to do this for me. So I put it up, accepting the gift and being told thank you. Five days later she contacts my host and tells him I do not have the ‘proper’ links back to her hubbys graphics co, dummy me never thought to ask, and she did not mention that I needed to link to it when she gave it to me. So, I linked it, but that was not good enough. Because it was not linked prior she wanted it back. Guess hubby got in her butt for giving it to me. Who knows. So I took the banner down, and the links. I then put up a post rescinding the endorsement I had written of her writing site, only stating that she had acted unprofessionally. Again they threatend my hosts, CENSORSHIP, that if that was not removed they would sue my host. My host knows me for awhile, so I unpublished it. He banned her from his forum, and Blog Explosion banned her for wrongful solicitation. In the meantime, I sent her host quite an email on harrassment, wrongful slander, and wrongful solicitation with the intent to harm, per my lawyers advice. Hence she is history. But Adam, I went through hell for a week. Why anyone would do that is beyond me. Now when you go to my site I made sure my creative commons lic. was the right one, I have a disclaimer, and to be on the safe side, at the bottom of each post, at the end next to trackbacks is a little box, looks like a sheet of paper, if you click that it goes to a bloggers disclaimer. The graphics I have now, are all under copyright so KNOWONE can EVER pull that on me again. I know that has not much to do with what happened to you, but when you are falsely accussed that is the pits. Fortunately I could send the thread URLs to my host and hers proving I told the truth and the owner of BlogExplosion was so kind to verify this for them also. What a bunch of IDIOTS and loons out there. I hope that fellow takes his post down and learns his lesson. Sorry that happened to you Adam.
