My Endorsement: Bill Sali for Congress

Examining the candidate for Congress, one man has stood out to me for the past few months, State Rep. Bill Sali (R-Kuna).

I’ve looked at Sali’s substantial legislative record and I see someone who has stood up and fought for conservative values year in and year out. When faced with a choice between doing what’s right and getting along with party leadership, he’s chosen to do what’s right.

I believe our State and our Nation has a desperate need for leaders like Bill Sali. There are too many wimps and wusses in Washington. We need a champion, we need someone with the heart of a lion. In short we need Bill Sali.

Sali gets my endorsement because he’s been tested and tried in the fire of our legislature. When you look at Conservative values, Bill Sali has consistently fought for us throughout his career. That record, that leadership has come at a cost, but I believe it must also come with a benefit. When a man stands by you, you stand by him.

Though, there are good, decent men in this race, none have stood so firm or so long for the values we believe in. None have earned the support of conservatives with 16 years of dedicated service to this state.

Its time for leadership in Washington, and I’m not alone in this conclusion. I’m joined by such groups as the American Conservative Union, Idaho Chooses Life, the Gun Owners of America, the Club for Growth, and the House Conservatives Fund that Bill Sali has the type of leadership, character, faith, and dedication to principle our country needs. I urge all Idahoans living in the 1st district to cast their vote for Bill Sali.
