New Cell Phone Midweek Open Trackbacks

After our cell phone took a dunk in the ice chest in Reno, it was time to get a replacement. Last night, we intended to go to a Christian production on Ustick Rd. but got hopelessly lost (and ended up in Meridian), so we went to the T-mobile store to get a replacement phone.

There were many very nice phones, we would have liked to have bought. I spent a lot of time looking at the Blackberries with their amazing Internet capabilies, the chance to be able to send and check e-mail from the screen. There were so many types of cell phones that were more like what I’d want to buy if I were rich. It’s what all the cool conservatives have.

Of course, we’re not rich, so we settled for a Samsung T-209 which we got for $27.99 with a new contract extension. We found it had many nice features on it, but really we just need something we can dial out on and have for emergencies. Of course life’s not about what you have and a Blackberry would be underused by me. I’d leave at home like I do my current cell phone. Still if someone would like to send one to me, I wouldn’ t be opposed to the idea…
