Not a Decision for a 5 Year Old

This line from the Miami Herald truly indicates there’s something wrong:
Pat’s parents had never heard of gender dysphoria until they took their child for treatment. He was insisting that he was a girl, and often tried to hide his penis between his legs.
Something is definitely wrong. I may not be a professional, but it sounds like there may have been some abuse.
