Not Complaining about the $170 Million

I will not be joining conservatives complaining about the $170 million spent on the Obama inaugural. I’m ticked that the media made a bigger deal about a far smaller amount spent on Bush’s 2nd Inaugural. I’m concerned that this money comes from corporate sources that may be hoping for something in return, but the figure of “$170 million in a sour economy” really doesn’t bother me.

The fact that Obama is spending $170 million (mostly in private funds) on the inaugural has about as much to do with the fact the economy is in the tank as children in America not eating their vegetables has to do with children starving in Ethiopia.
