Now Enterring Bizarro Land

Posted by Adam Graham in : Taxes

Bryan Fischer points out various problems with Walt Minnick’s recovery plan including this point, “Deficit spending is bad whether we are talking about $174 billion or $900 billion.”

Apparently, Fischer has missed the fact that we’re no longer in this place called, “The Real World” but rather in Bizarro Land, where Fiscal Conservatism has become only proposing an obscene amount of spending rather than an insane amount.

Fischer makes several points that the various Stimulus proposals won’t work. Environmental red tape will slow down infrastructure funding, the tax cuts amount to little more than welfare and that it oversteps guidelines.

All of these questions are answered with a simple, eloquent and logical response:

WE’RE IN A CRISIS AND WE MUST DO SOMETHING NOW! WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO THINK, WE DON’T HAVE TIME FOR ANYTHING BUT TO PASS THIS BILL OR WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, hope and change.

The formula is simple:

1) Give tiny sums of money to people who don’t know how to create wealth.

+

2) Spending Large sums of money on a wide variety of projects that have seemingly little to do with stimulating the economy:

+

3) Run up obscence deficits and be thankful the media won’t call you hypocrites for all your hand-wringing about the Deficit during the Bush years.

=

4) Economic Recovery that goes perfectly.

What could go wrong?
