On McCain-Huckabee: The End

Posted by Adam Graham in : Presidential Race 2008

Huckabee here is graceful, eloquent, and poignant. One of the finest speeches I’ve ever seen. Huckabee will be back.

I congratulate Senator McCain on clinching the nomination. I will respect the decision of the party and will not actively oppose him (though I will analyze him and everything else that goes on in politics and will free to criticize him.) My vote this fall will be between me and God.

Senator McCain will not have my vote on May 27th in the Republican Primary. The decision to nominate John McCain was made without my being asked and I do not agree with it. As a Republican, I’m entitled to vote how I choose and will cast a protest vote this May and will hope Republican leaders will in the future give our state a voice either through a reformed primary process that allows all states to have a say or through the Idaho GOP, joining our Democratic friends and electing our delegates via Caucus.

You will never have enough wealth to have a meaningful say in the Republican party.
