Our Somewhat Dense Members of Congress
Posted by Adam Graham in : PoliticsWonkette is reporting that:
According to the Committee on House Administration, “web log tools” have been enabled on House websites!
What I found extraordinary about this is that several members have already been running blogs. If members have been being kept from blogging simply because of the lack of tools actually “ON” the server, unless they have no person who really know how to use the Internet, this really speaks poorly of Congressional staff, who cannot figure out how to download software.
It also doesn’t speak well that something that’s been enabled on every hosting site worth its salt in the Private Sector for years is just now being made easily available to members of Congress.
I do wonder how many will come online. Blogging and doing actual politics simply doesn’t mix, particularly if you try and leave comments on. You’ll need staffers just to filter out the comments. I full expect 90% of Congress to still be blog free by next year.
Hat Tip: Human Events.
