What’s being dubbed a historic meeting by some was held in Washington, DC.  The meeting occurred between many Evangelical leaders and Ambassadors from Islamic Countries. Christians organizing the meeting included Jack Abramoff figure Ralph Reed, and exposed religious con man Benny Hinn.  Among those attending was Richard Cizik of the National Assocation of Evangelicals who in correspondence with a blogger attacked Jim Dobson by inference for “saying 50 million Muslims want to kill us.”  What Dobson said in context was far different. While I’m all for interfaith dialogue on the war on terror, but it has to begin with honesty. When dealing with potential attacks from radical Islamists, suggesting that one can’t mention the fact is absurd.  The one thing I regret in this segment is not giving greater kudos to Jonathan Falwell who in his own words stood up and urged opposition to terrorism. If only that was the message everyone left with.
