Prayer Request

Posted by Adam Graham in : Abortion

Christina over at Real Choice has an urgent prayer request. Baby Charlotte Wyatt needs your prayers. She’s a British toddler who has contracted a virus that’s wreaking havoc on her respiratory system. If she requires a ventilator at any point to survive, the doctors will not provide it. As I said, now is the time to pray.

May we recognize that the violations of the ten commandments is what kills us all. May we recognize that pulling God out of our schools and lives and living in values that are exalted against him were told of us in the bible in his warnings and his prophecies. May we recognize that only good can overcome evil and this does NOT mean in violent ways. WE do NOT understand Gods Justice without asking it of him before we react. Please do RECOGNIZE these facts. When we take up weapons against each other , it destroys life, and learns war. This is why we were asked to turn the other cheek, by allowing someone this offense against us, he can learn of his wrongdoing through God and his ways, not man and his ways. God gave us the right to choose good over evil. He gave us lessons to learn. WARS AND VIOLENCE ARE NOT THE ANSWER< and they never will be.

    violence begets violence
Overcome Evil with Good. Do not sympathize with Evil.
Do not stand in the way of sinners.
Jesus commanded us to love one another.
He also said that the world hated him first. They would hate all that believed in and followed him. Settle it in your minds . Much did he say that nobody is heeding. It is time to do so.

These prayer requests crack me up. Do believers think God dispenses miracles based on how many people are praying rather than who is actually deserving of help? Or does he determine who is deserving based on how many believers are around them? Either way it doesn’t seem very holy to me.

As for Kathy, apply that theory of turning the other cheek to the bombing of Pearl Harbor and tell me how you think that would have played out. Jesus Christ and his teachings simply don’t apply to the real world Kathy. Render unto Caesar and all that stuff. Let’s not drag Jesus into national security issues.

Well, Michael, I believe God hears our prayers, because he cares for us and we are His Children. Secondly, God doesn’t just give help to “the deserving.” He causes the sun to shine on both the just and the unjust.

Come on now Adam . That doesn’t speak to my comment as to the number of people praying. Causing the sun to shine on everyone would lead one to believe the number of people praying shouldn’t matter. Try thinking about it rationally. Apply the same logic you would use concerning other matters around you.

The Bible tells us that the Fervent, Effectual Prayers of a righteous man availeth much. Therefore, the prayers of a lot of righteousness people praying would avail more. Scriptures also talks of the power of agreement in prayer. Now, I won’t claim to know exactly how God decides, but there are some issues that all one can do about them is pray. There’s a little girl dying in England, and this is one of those issues. At this point, the comments have really been counterproductive. This post was not created to debate prayer nor to go off on an unrelated rant on War as Kathy did. This was about that little girl. The comments are now closed.
