We open up with a conversation about the Presidential Campaign including Mike Huckabee’s Merry Christmas ad, the “cross” (or two beams from a bookshelf) as well as Ron Paul’s interview with Glenn Beck and his statement raising the specter of Facism on Fox and Friends.

We then turn to the world of pork where Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK), under investigation for allegedly unethical earmark, adds $88 million more this omnibus bill including for a project under investigation. (Hat Tip: Club for Growth.)

We share Congressman John Campbell’s take on the passage of the omnibus bill. While the results were fairly abysmal (8,000 earmarks), thanks to Campbell’s effort to hold the line on the President’s veto, the House Republicans were able to force Democrats to get in line with the President’s budget requests. Savings to taxpayers: $150 billion.

Meanwhile, citizens of a California town say no to big government eminent domain abuse.
