RFK, JR. : God Punishing Mississippi
Posted by Adam Graham in : GeneralRobert Kennedy, Jr. has a piece on The Huffington Post where he explains that Katrina happened because Haley Barbour (now Governor of Missiissippi) lobbied the US not to regulate CO2 emissions as a pollutant. Now, even if you believe the science of it, the Bush administration regulating CO2 emissions four years ago wasn’t going to prevent this.
However, RFK speculates at the end of his column about divine justice:
In 1998, Republican icon Pat Robertson warned that hurricanes were likely to hit communities that offended God. Perhaps it was Barbour’s memo that caused Katrina, at the last moment, to spare New Orleans and save its worst flailings for the Mississippi coast.
So, there you have it, all you families of dead people in Mississippi, God killed your family because you elected Haley Barbour governor. That’s the RFK/liberal view.
Its good to know that liberals don’t serve the type of God who punishes people with AIDS for engaging in risky sex as they’ve told us hundreds of times. They serve the type of God who punishes Haley Barbour by randomly killing people including minorities those who didn’t vote for Barbour in the first place.
Now from a Conservative talking about unrighteous behavior as a cause this would be an outrageous lack of compassion, from a liberal its ho-hum, its a brilliant commentary.
More on this with tonight’s podcast.
