Richert: Isn’t Arizona Kinda Like the Confederacy?
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheThere’s big kerfluffle over the Bonner County GOP’s protest of “Fiesta at the Fair.” As I wrote over at Give Me Liberty, I thought it was a poor decision that actually hurts the Conservative cause on illegal immigration politically by creating the appearance of anti-Hispanic sentiment.
I knew leftists were going to have a field day, however Opinion Editor Kevin Richert decided to go out to lunch in his response, referencing the decision of the Bonner County GOP to include Arizona flags in their display, writing:
They plan to emblazon their fair booths with signs reading “celebrate,” and Arizona state flags. Perhaps confederate flags couldn’t be procured on short notice.
Yeah, because we know an Arizona State Flag is nearly as offensive as the Confederate Flag. After all, the Confederacy stood for legal slavery of African Americans, and under that system Blacks were beaten, killed, and sold as property.
That’s exactly the same thing as the citizens of Arizona getting fed up with being the Kidnapping Capital of the World and having their citizens raped and murdered by the illegal alien criminals who slip in with the cheap agricultural workers because our Federal government refuses to stand up to the corporate interests that aid and abet the smuggling of illegals to our nation. Exactly the same thing.
You know next time Kevin Richert wants to sit and write an editorial lambasting the tea party movement for being alarmed that Obama is proposing policies that will destroy our freedoms and he wants to write a self-righteous screed about, “Where’s civility in politics?” perhaps he should take a good look in the mirror.
Of course, as a typical leftist, his definition of civility is that conservatives play nice while liberals pound away garbage like he wrote on his blog today.
