Ron Paul’s Supporters Did It!

Less than 10 minutes ago, this was the front page of Ron Paul 2008 as his supporters broke through the campaign’s $12 million goal for Quarter 4, 2007 and will doubtlessly shatter the mark with their Boston Tea Party money bomb. While I do not agree with Paul and his supporters on everything, I have immense respect for what they’ve done.

They have, if nothing else taught us the power of the people in fundraising. Never again can people say, “There’s no way, Candidate X will ever raise enough money.” or if they do, any person with a reasonable memory can think back to this moment. This an age of the Internet, when if people care enough, they can give and create, and do anything they want. This is still America. Thanks to Ron Paul’s supporters for reminding the rest of us.
