First off, under the new ethics reform bill, Congressman convicted of bribery won’t get a pension. While this isn’t enough and as it doesn’t apply retroactively, leaves people like Duke Cunningham on the taxpayer’s dole, it’s a start. (Hat Tip: Government Bytes)

Also Michigan House Republicans are the last line of defense between the state and economic disaster, as Democrats think big government is the key to the state’s financial success. 

Abortion leads to a novel legal defense theory in Kansas City: a woman who killed a pregnant woman to cut her baby out and take it as her own can’t be seen as complicit in kidnapping as it was a fetus, not a baby kidnapped and a fetus is not a person. Newsweek treats a woman appointed by a group that split off from the Roman Catholic Church as if she were a real Catholic priest.
